Abbott and Costello made 36 films together between 1940 and 1956 and in 1942 alone, Abbott and Costello were the top box office draw with a reported take of $10 million.
They would remain a top ten box office attraction until 1952. Lou Costello was born March 6th, 1908, and died March 3rd, 1959. William Bud Abbott, born October 2nd, 1895, died April 24th, 1974.
