Hank Marvin was born Brian Robson Rankin on 28th October 1941 as is best known as the lead guitarist for the Shadows, a group that worked for many years with Sir Cliff Richard.

He changed his name by deed poll in the late 1950s. Hank Marvin's name secured him a place in cockney rhyming slang, I'm Hank Marvin (I'm f******* starving!) Although still musically active, Hank nowadays tends to limit his appearances to guest ones having release his last album' Guitar man on 2007 which reached number six in the album charts.
