John F Kennedy was born on 29th May 1917 and became the thirty fifth President of the United States, only to be assassinated two years later in 1963, leaving an indelible mark on the American people.

He was the first US President born in the 20th Century and carried high hopes for his administration, although history will never know if such promise was ever to be fulfilled. However his philosophy was clear "Do not pray for easy lives. Pray to be stronger men."
