Sean Justin Penn was born on August 17th, 1960. He appeared in a 1974 episode of The Little House on the Prairie as an extra because his father, Leo, directed some of the episodes and he launched his film career in the 1981 film Taps.

Since then Sean Penn has appeared in over 40 films, and is now is an Academy Award and Golden Globe winner both as an actor and director. Oh, and did we mention that he was married to Madonna?
