Steven Allan Spielberg was born on December 18th, 1946 and is now one of the most famous and popular movie directors ever.

In a bid to make it in the movie industry, Spielberg raised enough money from a close friend to make "Amblin", a short film that gained the attention of major Hollywood studios.

Then in 1974 Spielberg released his first feature film The Sugerland Express a year before Jaws. His list of credits is endless and Time Magazine has listed him as one of the 100 Greatest People of the Century.
