Stevie Wonder was born Stevland Judkins on 13th May 1950 and as a singer song writer was signed by Motown Records at the age of eleven, a company he still works with. Blind from birth, Stevie Wonder did not see this as as a disadvantage and further noted "The two big advantages I had at birth were to have been born wise and to have been born in poverty."

He has, to date, recorded more that thirty top ten hits in the US and won twenty two Grammy Awards. "Ability may get you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there."
